KICC FAMILY – KEEPING CONNECTED WEEK 6
Good evening Saints of God!
We thank God for his sustaining power, faithfulness, and goodness throughout this period of the Pandemic – CORVID-19. We have breathed and moved in and out. Through the imagery of slumbering, shade, sleeping, son, and moon smiting during day and night, respectively, we vividly experience his power, faithfulness, and goodness, “1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. 6 The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. 8 The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.”
Indeed, we praise our risen Christ Jesus for the messages and prayers which we experienced throughout the week. The Wednesday’s Mid-Week Service and Friday’s Meetings have been refreshing. We thank all of you who participate in leadership, breaking of the bread-the word, and the encouragement we have all given to one another through calls, texts, Facebook, and emails.
As a body of Christ, let us continue keeping the unity of spirit, purpose, love, and peace in Christ Jesus. When we are continually praying, interceding, petitioning, requesting, knocking, asking, and searching, we are touching and bringing heaven down to our predicament, yes, in our stresses and distresses of life. Indeed, the disconcerting presence of CORVID-19 in our midst has exacerbated the agitating life experience we undergo here. But we overwhelmingly conquer in the power of the risen Christ and the comforter, the Holy Spirit. Let us not be tired, but press on, for tomorrow, God is going to do wonders in our midst.
During this time of trouble, we will donate food to the members of the church who might need help. We have already started reaching to the community after being called by a man in Rialto who asked if we serve food. I responded yes; we do. Made arrangements to meet him and provided the needed food. It is time to share what we have with those who lack regardless of their place of origin. Please connect with our Administrative Assistant, Minister, Sabena Njoroge, to collect a package of faith starting Tuesday – April 27, 20 20.
Finally, we have resolved to hold mid-week service on every Wednesdays from 8 pm – 10 pm and Fridays from 8 am – 10 am. As a KICC church family in our homes, let us commit ourselves to study God’s word and prayer. We encourage the members of varied zones to participate in these services in preaching/teaching and leadership. Leaders of each zone, please organize to know who is leading the services and who are praying. Each week has Wednesday and Friday. We want to involve as many people as possible during the week. Please note your dates and the time you – the zones will be participating. This is our new normal and we shall rotate that way throughout the year!
The pastoral will coordinate the teaching of the word. May God almighty bless you all and grant you favor. As we continue to seek God’s face during the pestilence – CORVID – 19, let us hide under the mighty hand of God because he has gone before us, and he is protecting us as in Psalms: 23, 46, 91, 121, 125, and 127. Let us lift one another through a positive word, a call, a text, and so on.
